My name is Debbie Withers. I am a Counsellor for BCS and a registered, accredited
member of the BACP. I offer a professional and non-judgemental counselling space
for clients to explore issues that may be difficult for them to address alone, such
as low mood, anxiety, weight management, relationships, and self-esteem. I have a
Masters in Counselling Psychology which incorporated training in Person-centred
Counselling and CBT.
My extensive counselling training and experience has equipped me to tailor my
approach to my client’s needs. This can include integrating humanistic counselling,
cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and EMDR (trauma therapy). I have been
practicing EMDR for 10 years and am accredited by EMDR Association UK.
In the course of my counselling career, I have worked across the life-span
(children, young people, adults and older adults) gaining a wide range of
experience in contexts such as schools, universities, a careers service, an eating
disorder service, private practice, and the NHS. I am experienced and competent
in delivering in-person, and remote therapy (video and telephone). Areas of
specialism include low self-esteem, body image issues, eating and weight related
distress and occupational issues.
Counselling Fees: £45 – £55: Per session for individuals Concessions are made for under 18s and block bookings (4 or more sessions) paid in advance. Fees are payable either in advance by BACS, or by cash or cheque at the end of each session. We do not currently accept card payments.
